Key Stat: Braves’ Record by Jersey
The radio folks were talking about this the other day, the seeming lack of success the Braves have been having in the new, blue alternate road uniform. Of course, the lack of success they’ve been having on the road, period, may have something to do with that. Still, with very little positive to talk about while the Braves are the road, I thought this would be an important issue to research.
The Jerseys
The Braves have four jerseys this year, worn in various different circumstances:
- White - Home games, Monday through Saturday.
- Red - Home games, Sunday.
- Blue - Away games, starting pitcher’s choice, unless the home team wears their colored jerseys.
- Grey - Away games, starting pitcher’s choice, or if the home team wears their colored jerseys.
The Stats
After a comprehensive statistical analysis, we come up with the following records through 38 games:
| Jersey | Won | Loss | Percent |
| White | 11 | 4 | .733 |
| Red | 3 | 0 | 1.000 |
| Blue | 2 | 7 | .222 |
| Grey | 3 | 8 | .272 |
Note: Jersey color determined by checking the pictures on game wraps on MLB.com.
Conclusion
The Braves suck on the road this year no matter what color jersey they are wearing.
